A fabrication laboratory is a digital workshop which can be used by the public to create transform creative ideas into tangible prototypes. The FabLab uses digitally controlled machines like 3D printers and laser cutters to manufacture almost everything. Besides the machines, we have a rich variety of people from our on-line and off-line community willingly to share ideas and knowledge. FabLab Brainport is a breeding spot for open innovation.
If you are curious about tomorrow’s manufacturing possibilities and are interested in sharing your knowledge with others, then FabLab Brainport is the perfect place for you. FabLab welcomes students, designers, entrepeneurs, artists, everyone is welcome!
Everything that you would like to make in the FabLab is made by yourself. There is always someone that can help or advise you, but in the end, you are the person that is working on your own project. You pay for the material that you use. As a compensation for the use of the machines and services we ask you to document your work on our website. Take a look at the different projects and be inspired.
Currently we are open on tuesdays and wednesdays. Always look at our homepage for the most up-to-date opening days and hours.
No, you will need to purchase your material in the FabLab. The only exception for this rule is if we do not have the material on stock. For instance, we do not have cardboard in our stock so you are free to bring this to the FabLab. For a complete list of all the materials that we have and their prices, look at our ‘costs‘ page.
Yes, we have a team of helpfull students who can help you with any questions you might have. You will do most of the work, we are only here to help you.
